Layout

When on, News lines show a single row of square thumbnails (about ⅓ width each). Videos use a fixed media tile; tap opens the detail panel.
Date & time
Used for article times on cards and in the detail page. Empty = this device’s local zone.
Card and detail timestamps use this format in the timezone above (default YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm).
UI language
Display
When on, titles and summaries show plain text (recommended for Google News and similar feeds that embed <ol>/<a> markup).
When on, decode entities such as " & ' into normal characters.
When on, the same story from overlapping feeds (e.g. Google News Top Stories + Most Popular) is shown only once.
When on, weather code loads on demand and shows local temperature in the top bar (Open-Meteo).
When on, each feed’s site favicon is cached locally and shown beside feed names and card publishers.
When off (default), only the detail icon on each card opens the detail page. Title links still open the original article.
Click the status text in the top bar to see the latest messages (default 20).
Content card
Color and how long the outline stays on articles from the latest refresh (then fades).
Lower opacity shows more of the page wallpaper behind article cards.
CORS tool
Checked tools are used round-robin across feeds (1st feed → 1st tool, 2nd → 2nd, …). Each fetch tries once with no retry. Uncheck all to fetch directly without CORS.
Placeholders: ${encodeURIComponent(url)},
${encodeURIComponent(rssUrl)}, or
${rawUrl} (unencoded, for prefix proxies).
Server always caches local CORS proxy responses (~5 minutes) to protect the origin IP; clients cannot disable it.
Fetch & clean
Example: batch 3 URLs every 10s; full refresh every 300s.
Catalog
Locale list is small (data/catalog/locales.json).
Categories/feeds load on demand per locale (data/catalog/{id}.json).
Official feed control
Official → region → category → RSS. Turn off auto-refresh and/or hide content per feed (defaults both on).
DANGER: Custom CSS/JS runs in this page with full access to your local data. Only paste code you trust. Malicious code can steal feeds, wipe IndexedDB, or redirect the page.
Custom code
Custom CSS
Custom JavaScript
CSS applies immediately when enabled. JavaScript runs on each page load (after Save + reload). Max ~50KB each.
